Our Production & Manufacturing team builds high‑quality, specialised interconnect solutions tailored to customer requirements. This includes bespoke wire and cable harness assemblies, electromechanical units, harsh‑environment fibre‑optic assemblies, and supporting products used across Aerospace, Defence, and other sectors.

We are looking for detail‑driven Production Operators to join our team and contribute to the build of mission‑critical assemblies to the highest industry standards.

Summary of main purpose of this job:

Manufacture and build items interconnect solutions in compliance with IPC/WHMA-620 Class 3 requirements, via in-house production guides. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and assemble products in full compliance with IPC/WHMA‑620 Class 3 workmanship standards (Training can be provided)
  • Follow in‑house production guides to ensure consistent, high‑quality output.
  • Interpret and work from schematic diagrams, wiring schedules, and technical drawings.
  • Build cable harnesses and electromechanical products to specification.
  • Maintain accuracy, traceability, and documentation throughout the production process.
  • Collaborate with the wider production team to meet deadlines and quality targets.
  • Uphold safety, cleanliness, and organisation within the manufacturing environment.

Essential skills

  • Experience of cable assembly manufacture would be beneficial
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and have the attitude to strive for continuous improvement
  • Flexibility within the department
  • Full training provided

The Production/Manufacturing department is responsible for the build of specialized items as per the customer requirements, specifically bespoke wire & cable harness assemblies, electromechanical products, harsh environment fibre optic assemblies and supportive products for the defence, aerospace, security, marine, rail, motorsport / niche automotive markets.

Summary of main purpose of this job

Manufacture of fibre optic assemblies following in-house production guides and processes.
To be able to read customer schematic diagrams and drawings.

Key Reponsibilities

  • Cutting and handling of fibre optic cable
  • Preparation and termination of fibre optic cables and termini
  • Use of fibre processing equipment (polishing machine, interferometry)
  • Handling and application of heat shrink products and associated adhesives
  • Understanding of production drawings and documentation
  • Ability to read and follow documented build procedures
  • Ability to follow in house procedures
  • Attrition recording/monitoring
  • Flexibility to cover other assembly roles in the department when needed.

Essential Skills
